Nothing to throw back–just running out of alliterations.Next…
So, tonight is match number one of the new season for our Thursday night darts league, run by our friend, Uschi (Tucson Premier Darts League).I’m playing against my old friend (and partner in Senior Olympics), Al.He beat me, last season, by a score of 9-2.I’d like to win at least one more leg than that so hoping for no worse than an 8-3 loss.(Of course, if I could do better…).J starts the season off with a bye.Her first match is next Thursday night.
Meanwhile, our Tuesday night team darts league (See You Next Tuesday) finished up the season night before last.
We still have two makeup matches left to play, one of which is scheduled for Friday afternoon.Once that one is played, the other one is academic.The one being made up Friday will decide 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, so… Anyway, next Tuesday (4-30) we will hand out money and make plans for next season, scheduled to start on May 7th.Hopefully, everyone continues to have a good time.
The Denver Nuggets (NBA basketball) are going to try to take a commanding 3 games to 0 lead in their early round series against the Los Angeles Lakers, tonight.
I’m not huge on the NBA, but if I have a team, it’s the Nuggets.Go Denver!
My Colorado Avalanche (NHL hockey—now THERE’S a sport), are even in their series with the Winnipeg Jets (1-1), and will try to maintain home ice advantage tomorrow night, in Denver.Go, Avs!!!
